ank you for giving your time to read this correspondence. My name is Simeon Nerelus. I am the Executive Director of Haiti Emergency Relief Organization - HERO. HERO is a 501 (C) 3 Non-profit; registered in the State of Alabama. Our mission is to “make life better for socially disadvantaged children and youth in Haiti.”
We are working diligently to help Haitians overcome alarming crises in the areas of food security, economic development, primary health care, emergency management, literacy, and certified technology education.
Partnering with Starlingg Organization (www.starlingg.org) a hearing aid clinic, we will be traveling to Haiti the first week of December 2009 to bring relief to bring relief to hearing-impaired children and adults. Just $100.00 will completely outfit a Haitian with a hearing aid kit. This trip will also add to the ground work for a technology wing of a local school that will begin technical training for young people.
Our goals include building and sustaining a Technology & Development Institute in Haiti. We are currently collecting working laptop computers, PC’s, media and electronic equipments for the fulfillment of this goal. HERO is working at establishing partnership with communities, individuals, the public and private sectors to make our efforts more effectual for America’s neighbors, the people of Haiti.
